The System of Hypercosmos D6
Unique & Flexible
Hypercosmos D6 is a unique and flexible dice system that new players can easily learn in just a few minutes.
Basic Rule: 3 six-sided dice (3d6) are rolled, to produce a cumulative result of "10" or more.
So for instance when you own a certain skill and you are called to roll for a skill check, you need to roll 3d6 white dice and get a result of 10 or higher to succeed.

Skill Levels I II III IV
-
In addition to just knowing a Skill, a Hero can be very good at it.
-
Therefore, the knowledge of each Skill can be defined in four levels.
-
That is, they can only have a simple knowledge of a Skill or better at levels I, II, III, or IV.
-
This is marked on the Hero Sheet by circling the level of the Skill.
-
The second adds a die, for a total of 4d6.
-
The third Level rolls 4d6 and a half die, and the fourth Level rolls 5d6.
Exploded d6 System
On every Roll Check, each time a white die results in a "6", it adds an additional die to that Roll. This is echoed with every "6" on the roll, even for the extra ones.
The Red Dice (RD)
Checks with increased Difficulty or Disadvantages (temporary or permanent) of a Hero may add one or more red dice (RD) to a skill check. These dice are added to a roll as a penalty and subtract a white die of Equal or Lesser value, from that check.

Each red dice (RD) adds an additional (RD) when they result in a "6", in a similar manner to the white d6 exploded system, however, there are times when one or even more red dice may not negatively affect a roll. Here are some examples:
Example A
Example B
Example C
Example A: The red die is a "3" and can subtract from the roll a white die of "3" or less. In this example, it can subtract the "2" white die, and the total sum of the two remaining white dice is "9", thus the check is a failure.
Example B: The two red dice resulted in a "4" and a "2" and subtract the white dice of "3" and "1" respectively. Although there is only one white die left on the table, we do not know the result check in this case, since that white die is a "6" and according to the exploded dice rule, the player gets an extra white d6 to roll. In a "4" or higher, the check will be successful.
Example C: The red die rolled a "6" as well as one of the white dice. No new dice are added and the red "6" subtracts the white "6". The remaining white dice result in a "9" and the check fails.
The Black Dice
In the Hypercosmos© d6 System Combat Skirmishes, one of the white d6 is replaced by a black (BD) die. This special die, an inspiration of the veteran player and narrator Christos Kollias, determines which part of the target (be it a creature or a vehicle) is hit by an attack. This way players know if an attack hit their target but also exactly where and how much damage was dealt. This is determined by the Extra Successes of the attack rolls!
